I am neither a lawyer nor a jurist. I understand very little of law.
But a question that comes to mind is why we have incidents such as the school book one repeatedly.

I have no idea about the legal validity of its contents but as a layman it gives the impression that this is probably yet another problem case.
Not too long ago, someone of the stature of the Economic Advisor to the PM – who seems to be a well meaning, competent and thinking individual – had laid it out straight and bare in a public presentation:
There is little left to be said.
But what needs to be said is what the cover page of The Republic by Plato says:
“The heaviest penalty for declining to rule is to be ruled by someone inferior to yourself”
The Congress is no longer fit to rule is apparent from their acts in the AI Summit as well as their divisionary tactics in Bengal and elsewhere. But it is not the BJP or the RSS alone who can fix the system. Both these organisations have phenomenal grass root support – and they have given the highest support to the poor in the history of India.
But it is the intellectuals of the country who deserve the blame.
