Without free energy, freedom is at stake.
It is now getting abundantly clear that ai has the ability to subjugate, terrorise and in fact delete national borders. If there is one technology with the maximum rogue potential- it is not nuclear or biowarfare – but ai. Ai + smartphones can permit population scale domination. No soldiers are required for precision attacks. A drone with a poison dart linked to a smartphone gps is all you need. It doesn’t matter whether you are a scientist or a national leader or a terrorist. Anyone can be eliminated if his phone can be hacked into. Traditional VIP security has no chance. They will not even see the small drone or even feel the attack of poisoned needle darts.
Ai sovereignty is key to territorial integrity.
Everyone talks about data as the bottleneck in AI. It isn’t.
Energy is.
Data without energy is inert.
Training models, running inference, moving bits, cooling hardware — every unit of intelligence consumes power.
Free data + expensive energy = potential that never executes.
History is clear on this point.
Civilizations don’t advance when they discover more information. They advance when they unlock cheaper energy gradients:
fire → steam → electricity → fossil fuels → nuclear.
AI follows the same rule.
“Free data” often leads to centralization:
• large platforms
• massive clouds
• winner-take-all models
Abundant energy does the opposite:
• local training
• edge inference
• on-prem, sovereign systems
• even one-person AI labs
Data is becoming non-rival:
• it can be copied
• synthesized
• compressed
Energy isn’t.
It has real marginal cost and real physical limits.
As models improve, data gets cheaper faster than energy. So the true ceiling on intelligence isn’t information — it’s power.
In one line:
Free data determines who can learn.
Free energy determines who can act.
And action — not knowledge — is what compounds power.
As ai gets a robotics kicker – the very nature of war will change. Future wars are not about funding or size of army: they are about ai and robotics. And robots can be tiny like a dragon fly or humanoid or like Superman. Human prowess is no match. Humanoid robots can see at night or xray through the body. They can navigate through poisonous smoke or create poisonous smoke to clear the path.
Ai powered robots can also fly or dive. But they can do nothing without power. And thus power and energy are critical.
The indian electricity grid is not going to be able to cater to emerging loads. It needs a prosumer architecture and not a broadcast architecture. Distributed energy generation through micro solar farms are critical as are small nano nuclear reactors for charging.
Free energy has to be the focus
If territorial integrity is the aim.
