IIT Alumni Council to onboard industry partners for rapid deployment of frontier technologies in key emerging areas like nuclear and digital cash

“Artificial Intelligence and computervision is a foundational science. Self-learning and self-programming machines already exist. Platforms like ChatGPT and Kodoy are making ai available to the masses. However, giving foundational models to engineers is like giving calculators to nursery kids. They will never learn to count without calculators. Also they will never know how the calculator works. I am thus not too sure if it is a good thing or bad thing.
