The ai race has just begun.
America was first off the start line.
BharatGen has now put India in the race.
The race has just started.
We have been fed the Hollywood narrative, from “America will save the world” to “Let’s make America great again”. If money alone could buy leadership then America can win. But money is just a necessity. It is not sufficient. America couldn’t control covid like India could. And ended up poisoning its population with a mRNA vaccine instead.
Ai is no longer a two horse race. China only prove with Deep Seek that America and its cohort of stock market fueled big tech giants was not invincible. And money alone would not win this race.
It is the digital payments playbook playing out again. America was the king of payments. Visa, Master, Discovery and Amex were leaders. Just like Google, Microsoft, Amazon and Meta. And then came Bharat Gen as did NPCI. It was no longer a fight of the titans. It was a fight of the right vs the wrong. A non profit out to solve a problem vs a cartel out to skim and swindle. Dharma supported the former. And the Global South won.
But payments was not a heat management problem. Ai is. Few realise that the American model of a dense electron cloud which is liquid cooled is already obsolete. Beyond a point, adding more sugar will not make something sweeter. It will give you diabetes. And this has happened to both – silicon and cooling. Silicon cannot get much thinner or take more power. It is one thing to go from 90 nm to 7 nm. But you can’t go below zero.
Silicon is not designed to work inside a steel furnace. And it is even more stupid to work try to refrigerate the furnace (you must be crazy to even try !!!!). You have to prevent the heating. And the only way to do that is to distribute the heat generators.
But electrons can move fast. But they can’t move that far. Photons on the other hand can move quite far and quite fast. Most important photons require less energy than electrons do.
Just like western medicine is compartmentalised so is their engineering. They made a vaccine which prevented a few from dying but reduced the healthspan of the entire population by increasing the probability of a stroke. Indians intrinsically understand a holistic approach.
The Chinese are too busy reverse engineering the Americans to look within. For them god is not Buddha or Jesus – it is the U.S. dollar. Deep seek is just a cheaper version of ChatGPT or Gemini. Not yet better.
Ai is what Ai does.
By itself, it is just another science project.
If the American model can deliver Ai as they think it can, then the challenge is not algorithms but refrigeration. And their model does not scale to cool.
And if it is distributed then there is no centralised furnace to cool down. India already has the worlds first distributed GDC architecture. Bharat Gen now has the rest.
If a tap leaks, you plug the leak. Not deploy robots to mop.
